The Seven Processes of PRINCE2

The first part of this process is Starting Up a Project. This is where the team that will handle the project is appointed. This includes the executive and managers, who will lead the project. Also, the appointed persons are introduced to the project brief.

Initiating A Project is the next step. This is where the project case is defined and the Project Initiation Documentation is assembled. After that, Directing A Project takes place. The Project Board is assigned about the ways how the project should be overseen.

The next process is Controlling A Stage, where the manner of controlling an individual stage is dictated. The process of how work packages are authorized and distributed are also dictated here.

In Managing Product Delivery, which is the next stage, the link between the project manager and the team manager can be found and controlled through the means of placing formal requirements on accepting, executing, and delivering project work.

To transition from one stage to the next, there is a process called Managing Stage Boundaries, in order to execute every stage with success. And finally, Closing A Project is the process where the project is decommissioned formally, and where follow-on actions and Evaluation of the Benefits is conducted.
